Biologie and Geography

One focus in the coming years will be on extending cooperation between the research fields represented at the Faculty and working with the science, medical and technical disciplines at the University of Duisburg-Essen, neighbouring ­universities and external research institutions. Core facilities, particularly in imaging, prote­omics and bioinformatics, are relevant to a rapidly increasing number of research groups, and it is through these common methodological interests that new ideas for joint research projects are increasingly emerging.
