Nanoengineering Degrees

At the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Department of Engineering Sciences, in collaboration with the Departments of Physics and Chemistry, has offered a Bachelor / Master degree programme in nanoengineering since 2006. The aim of the new programme is to produce its graduates with professional qualifications nanotechnology. From their very first semester, the students are prepared for work in and around this key technology of the 21st century, facilitated by a combination of fundamental subject-matter from the natural sciences and engineering as well as by specific courses in nanotechnology itself. The main features of the nanoengineering degree programme are nanoprocess technology and nano-optoelectronics.
