- The “Cycle, Motives and Homotopy Theory” international conference in honour of Marc Levine’s 60th birthday was held in June 2012 with participants from the USA, Canada, India, Korea, Russia and China, among them the Fields Medalist Vladimir Voevodsky. The conference was organized by Professor Esnault and Professor V. Srinivas (Tata Institute, India).
- Continuing in the tradition of the previous years, a “Workshop Essen-Paderborn” on a current topic of algebraic geometry is organized every winter semester by Professor Görtz and Professor Torsten Wedhorn.
