Engineering

The chairs within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology work closely with numerous partners from science and industry on a national and international level. The collaborations outlined below are therefore just a representative selection and by no means exhaustive.
As part of the BMBF project “MRI 7-Tesla whole-body coil”, the Institute of Microwave
and RF-Technology is collaborating in MRI with IMST GmbH and Siemens Imaging, among others.
The Institute of Nano Structures and Technology collaborates on several projects with partners including the Research and Training Center for Welding Technology, Federal Mogul, Ruhr University Bochum and the Technical University of Munich. The Institute of Electronic Materials and Nanostructures made internationally recognized scientific findings in the fields of white-light emitters and magneto-optical characteristics of nano-ribbons in various projects with partners such as the University of Bremen, the University of Seoul (South Korea), Evonik Industries and Osram AG. The Institute of General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering collaborates with the University of Heidelberg, Magdeburg and ETH Zurich as well as other partners at home and abroad, including the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems in Duisburg. The Institute of Digital Signal Processing meanwhile is working with 22 national and European partners in the field of cognitive radio.
