Business Administration and Economics

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is set to continue its ongoing development of interdisciplinary and practically relevant research activities in the coming years. Combining innovative economic analyses with new developments in business information systems and computer science will remain a core concern at the Faculty. Research activities will focus particularly on the areas of energy, health, empirical economics, modelling of business information systems, software engineering and in future also auditing, taxation and consultancy. Cooperation will also be further intensified, both with the other universities in the University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr (UAMR) and with partners from science and industry on a national and international level.
